BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. -Revelation 2:5

I don't know how many people are struggling with broken or dead relationships, I know it's something that gets on my mind once in awhile. Today especially I was wondering about the idea of closure, and whether it's God's idea or mine...

So.

Revelation 2:5 tells me that closure is OK. That going back and trying to mend broken relationships is fine. But there are some conditions!

1. Bear in mind what you did wrong in the relationship, what caused it to mess up... and don't make the same mistake. Learn from them. See how these mistakes have been utilised by God and share it with the other person involved. Also make sure that you're extra aware of the mistakes you made/ could potentially make again.

2. Make sure both of you know the relationship has different dynamics now, make sure it's a God-driven relationship (be it platonic or romantic).
